We have looked at a number of challenges that communities such as our own are faced with and shared some ideas about what they do to get them through. Today we are blogging about the happy times that we experience in our communities (school, parish, family & sports) to name a few.

We celebrate for fun and to get the community together.

Because people like to celebrate stuff for fun.

The whole community is.

They set it up like they set up the spring fair.
Where do they celebrate?
At school.
How often do they celebrate this occasion?
With people from the community coming.
Mr C my family community celebrates Christmas we celebrate it
because Jesus was born.
The people I celebrate it with is my Mum, Dad, Grandmother and my brother.
we celebrate Christmas with lots of food and putting the Christmas tree up.
We celebrate Christmas in our house.

Whenever the event is on.
Animal factories.
They celebrate Halloween as a community.
Some people celebrate Halloween because they like dressing up and getting candy.
The community invites some other people to celebrate with them.
They celebrate by having parties at a church or some where else.
Lots of communities celebrate there parties at churches.
The communities celebrate once a year.
Occasions: Christmas, Easter, Australia Day, New Year and many others.
Why: We celebrate these occasions because they are rituals passed on from centuries ago.
How: We celebrate these occasions by being together, having a barbeque or going to the beach or church.
Where: We celebrate these occasions in backyards, parks, beaches or churches.
How Often: We usually celebrate these occasions once a year.
School and family.birthdays because you are getting older.you have a party with friends.
Family. Christmas. It is the birth of Jesus. family and close family friends. Christmas lunch and dinner. outdoors and in the pool.
church. Easter when rose from the cross.anyone that goes to church.they have a longer mass. you go to mass.it happens every year .
sports.win final. because it happens every now and then.the team comes together. you have a party.
The things that we celebrate are Christmas, Easter and Anzac day.
People celebrate Christmas because on Christmas day Jesus was

This week we’ve been learning about “Joyful Times in Communities”. I’ve learnt that some Communities celebrate different thing like “the Ashes, Christmas and birth of the lord. The ST Bernard’s, we celebrate a tradition for catholic school’s. Something like a QLD Community they change QLD.
They celebrate at there Community because its there place.
They often change the Community once in a while.

What are occasions/reasons community celebrate? Chinese new year. Why do you think they celebrate? I think celebrate because they pray for our uncles and Aunts. Who is invited to the celebration? My family only invite uncles and Aunts. How do they celebrate ? Some examples are parties or mass. We celebrate by going to the cemetery saying Vietnamese prays and then we have a feast. Where do they celebrate? We celebrate at my parents house because my grandpa was in my family. How often do they celebrate this occasion? We only celebrate this occasion only once a year.
What are occasions/reasons community celebrate? To make someone feel special, to make someone feel welcome
Why do you think they celebrate ? To have fun and enjoy something.
Who is invited to the celebration? Everyone in that community
How do they celebrate ? Some examples are parties or mass. Mass, parties, dinners or breakfast or lunch, Going out to the shops,
Where do they celebrate? Church, someone’s house, shops
How often do they celebrate this occasion? on special occasions. About every month

Some occasions the Parish celebrate include confirmation and first Eucharist, a new year in the church, Easter, Christmas (The birth of Jesus.) weddings, baptism and when priests join the seminary. some reasons why they celebrate are to invite people in the church, having two people join together in marriage, to celebrate the birth of Jesus and to celebrate the day Jesus rose in to heaven.
they celebrate because it can be a happy time for people because they get welcomed into the church.
anyone can come to a mass, even when people receive their first communion.
normally we just have a mass and the people who need their first communion receive it in the middle of the mass.

my community is Balmoral cycling club
1. we celebrate people winning races.
2. because other people win every time.
3. parents,brothers and sisters,cousins,friends.
4. by clapping at the people that come first second and third.
5. they celebrate it at the same place as they raced.
6. every Saturday.
it is normally celebrated 1 to 3 times a year.
We celebrate Christmas as a community we also celebrate Easter and we also celebrate Ashes. It could be a tradition
of a catholic school but it can be a something to bring happiness. People invite friends and family mostly people that they have been with for a long time for like a 2 or 5 years. People celebrate with their friends and family and we bring food and we do activity’s. we celebrate at the church, meeting place. This can be done like 9 times a year. by Tom
How we celebrate: The way we celebrate Christmas is, by singing carols at the 2nd last week at school. The rest of the term we do Christmas activity’s and color in sheets. An sometimes the choir sings infront of everyone
Who is invited: The people who are invited are parents of the children who are at the school and of course the students in the school. Sometimes children bring family members to introduce them to their community.
How often do they celebrate it: We celebrate occasions once a year or everyday if include birthdays, people stand up at assembly and tell what they did for their birthday and how old they are so I guess it counts for every week and everyday??
Where we celebrate: We celebrate at our home (School) where we where united and introduced in the community if we celebrate somewhere else people might get lost and go to the wrong place if we celebrate at a place we all know then it’s much easier.

We celebrate birthday because it was the day we were born.
Why do you think they celebrate ?
I think they celebrate birthdays because when we had our first couple of birthday we were only little so you didn’t really get to celebrate.
Who is invited to the celebration?
hen you have a birthday you could invite your friends and have a family dinner or you could just invite your friends and family to the one.
Where do they celebrate?
you can really celebrate were ever you won’t to really.
How often do they celebrate this occasion?
you really only celebrate ones a year.
Family community’s- What are the reasons our family community celebrate? My family community celebrate mainly birthdays we celebrate birthdays because it is the day we were born say you were nine that means that you have been alive for 10 years now. Who has invented the celebration? well that is a hard question because God created us but Mum gave birth to us. How do we celebrate? Our family celebrates birthdays by having a party or a sleepover. Where do they celebrate? well with birthdays kids would usually have a party and if their lucky they might get a sleepover after. How often do we celebrate this occasion? this is for every ones family community everyone has their birthday once every year.
