botanical gardens excursion

something interesting I learnt on the excursion is that some trees can provide large fruit looking pods that give nuts. I really enjoyed going on the bus and seeing lots of different species of plants and birds that I had never seen before.

a habitat is a native environment or place where a plant or animal lives.

a producer is someone who make goods or services.

a consumer is someone who uses goods or services.

a decomposer is a person or thing that decomposes.

a few habitats are: eucalyptus trees for koalas in Australia, north and south poles are homes to penguins and the glow worms habitat is the rain forest. you can see some at Mount Tambourine.

Melanie’s report about the botanic gardens

  • One interesting fact that you learned.

(Science) a plant is a producer ( Geography) GEO stands for earth and GRAPHY stands for maps

One thing that you enjoyed about the excursion.

I enjoyed Having Mrs Nicoletti to help our class

  • Give an definition of the words: habitat, producer, consumer and decomposer.

My excursion/adventure at the botanic gardens

Hi bloggers out there on Friday I went to the botanic gardens  with my class. I would like to share my day with you.

What I learnt/facts

producer:

One thing that I enjoyed was the Japanese Garden.

The Grand Canyon

anyonWe have been learning about weathering and erosion this Term in Science. We have been learning about how erosion has helped formed the Grand Canyon. We learnt that the Grand Canyon formed over a very long period of time. The fact that I found most interesting was that there was a large lake which overflowed which started the formation of the canyon.
