Arrays

WIN_20160609_10_32_51_ProToday our class 4M have been understanding/learning about Arrays being helpful in Times Tables, Arrays are helpful because groups and numbers work together to make an Array, ok so lets say 5×5=25 now there will be 5 groups every group has 5 numbers in 1 group it would look like this, so basically as you can see there is 5 groups and each

⬛ ⬛ ⬛ ⬛ ⬛  group has 5 numbers inside of them count each of the

⬛ ⬛ ⬛ ⬛ ⬛ squares and you have the answer 25 if you want

⬛ ⬛ ⬛ ⬛ ⬛ to know more keep reading!Another thing is if you multiply in odd numbers the answer will be a odd

⬛ ⬛ ⬛ ⬛ ⬛ number for example 3×3=9 and none of those numbers are even example is 4×4=16 it’s not even it’s

⬛ ⬛ ⬛ ⬛ ⬛ odd the tens house is number 1 and that is not even the other it is but that doesn’t count because only the 10 house does if the sum is multiplied by even numbers lets say 2×2=4 then the answer will be even.
